Hello Mary,

a couple of years ago, I found some dead Attagenus larvae (A.pellio) and dust
at a historic furniture.
These dermestid larvae used old exit holes from furniturebeetles over the
wintertime to survive.
Have your wood sculpture old exit holes? Or just fallen inside the packing by
accident before shipping?

Best, Stephan

Hello All-

I would love assistance to identify this larva. It was found inside the packing
for a 16th century wood sculpture. No hair, wool or hide on this sculpture.
This was dead when found, and about 3/8" long. It is now in Texas but was in a
shipment from Washington DC.

Sorry for the out-of-focus shots.

Thanks!
