Mike- Thanks for that info- it's comforting to hear others have experienced the same thing while going through the calibration process.
The specific issue my unit has that doesn't match up with "correct calibration" according to the manual is: -after the sensor is fitted, you wait 1 minute for it to settle in-circuit, and then press that tiny button on the back. Apparently if correctly calibrated, the light should turn green when the button is pushed.
