Subject: [Non-DoD Source] Re: [pestlist] mystery pod

It appears to be a fly puparium. I can't see enough detail to suggest which
family, but I doubt that it represents a threat to the model. It has most
likely arrived from outside as a maggot (looking for somewhere to pupate). If
you have noticed any funny smells in the building, there might be a hidden
carcass whence it came.

        Hello,

Any idea what the heck is in my ship model case? This casing/ pod thing
is about 3/8 in. long and is probably a bit discolored. Any help would be much
appreciated.
