The point, though, is that stringification of a pair incorporates both the key and the value into the resulting string. This is an option that numification doesn't have. As well, I'm pretty sure that "a\t23\n" doesn't numify. I'm beginning to think that Pairs shouldn't, either; but if they do, they should definitely do so by numifying the value of the pair. -- Jonathan "Dataweaver" Lang
