Well, for a start, there's this syntactic problem:

    do { say "vale, munde asper"; mori(); }
        if $lang eq 'Latinus';

As well as the fact that do..if has no discernable advantage in either
writability
or readability over:

    if $lang eq 'Latinus' {
        say "vale, munde asper"; mori();
    }
