I might have forgotten to include this information: gcc --version gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 (Ubuntu 4.1.2-0ubuntu4) uname -a Linux notebook 2.6.20-16-generic #2 SMP Thu Jun 7 20:19:32 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux Gabor ps. the previous attempt to post were rejected with the error about possible "Hi" virus. Even though it seems the problem was that I tried to attach the stderr file.
