I did one of these as requested (change from root ownership), although it didn't fix the build problem: $ chown -R delgreco:delgreco rakudo But then I did your second suggestion and all is well again. Not sure how things got confused in there but I'm back. $ cd rakudo $ rm -rf parrot* $ perl ./Configure --gen-parrot $ gmake Thanks a bunch! I'm just a lowly Perl user, never worked on compilers/language design or anything, but I'm a big fan of the work you guys are doing, and I try to keep my rakudo up to date with every release, with the hopes of being an early Perl 6 adopter once it becomes recommended for production uses. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to pitch in, anything at all. Also, I'll be attending OSCON this July.
