I forgot to mention that there's some unofficial internal (BBC) interest in something like this. I can't say if we'd support this effort directly, but I'd certainly try and push for it if it looks like it's realistic. Having the Parrot Foundation, the Mozilla Foundation and the BBC all plugging a project could be a huge win for everyone involved.
