I'm not sure, to be honest, but I'll look at it much closer in the coming week to see if I can figure it out. A few points: * The last notes that I can find written anywhere about this indicate that the gmc GC still has some bugs in it, although I can't find information about how many, how severe, or how difficult to fix they are. These may have been fixed and nobody wrote anything about it. * rt#55364 updates all the GC system function and macro names, an update which is required for deprecation and which likely hasn't been implemented in the GMC branch. At the very least, I can go through the important files in that branch and update everything to match this patch. I'll take a close look at this branch in the coming week. -Andrew Whitworth
