in PLATFORMS, we currently have quite a few old entries (everything
before 2008 is shown below) If you have one of these platforms, please
get a snapshot/checkout today and get us a patch before chromatic cuts
the release.

I also want this to be tied to parrot releases rather than dates, as
we do with the language statuses. As we approach a release, we can
update the file to indicate that we have tested it on that (impending)
release. Having it tied to a release has less granularity, but more
precision: makes it much easier for us to say "this is the last
version that is known to work on this platform", as opposed to the
date which may correspond to the date of testing, the revision date of
the repository, the release date...
