Fedora strongly recommends using a build system like mock, or building
as a non-privileged user. The fedora created rpmdev-tools makes it
really easy to create a non-privileged build environment.
Although /usr/src/redhat is still the configured default, last time I
tried to use it I had to create it by hand.
