I get the same error when using prove on the parrot test suit. I'm not
sure this should work, but it would be nice.

I'm pretty sure it won't work at the moment. Somewhere on my TODO list is "make parrot tests run in parallel using TAP::Harness". I see Alison has been talking about moving away from the Perl 5 Test/ TAP::Harness dependency altogether (although I may have that wrong; I only had time to skim the threads this week). If that's the plan I imagine that anything I had planned would be redundant.
