I'm reverting the option description to list just a single step -- not a pipe-delimited string of steps. That could imply that you could provide '--step' with such a string, when in fact '--step' is intended to apply to just one step at a time. Otherwise, the patch is acceptable as it corrects an error I failed to catch earlier. Applied to trunk in r22025.
