Kevin, I had hoped that creating a 'make' target in config/gen/ makefiles/root.in would provide a convenient way to run my tests of Parrot::Pmc2c::Utils.

But it appears that people are still having trouble getting the tests to pass when run directly with t/harness or with prove. So I think it is premature to include the buildtools_test in root.in, and I am submitting a patch which, in effect, reverts root.in to version 16239.

Perhaps once everybody can get the tests to pass with t/harness or with prove,we can think about re-including a make target.
