Hi Daniel, I don't know whether you have already received an answer on your request. If so just ignore my 2 cents. Unfortunately I can't help you much, as I'm running Linux myself. But Francois Perrad has recently submitted a couple of patches, http://rt.perl.org/rt3/index.html?q=36844, that should improve the situation with MinGW.
