Keep in mind that, first, only a certain amount of the process makes
itself known on the mailing list and, more importantly, there's the
issue of burnout.

Dan's been riding this horse for a while, and a certain amount of
saddlesores and a desire to sit in a stationary comfy chair is
understandable.

Ok, maybe I should leave the metaphors to others. :-)

In any case, I agree that this is not a matter that warrents extensive
discussion. Speculation isn't terribly useful here.
