The official place for documentation of built-ins is S29. At the rate I was going, I was going to get to S29 in two or three years, so it's good that Rod is taking that on. I don't recall offhand if slurp was discussed much in p6l or whether it was mostly one of those cabalistic things.
I hadn't heard of it before, but that doesn't mean it wasn't mentioned somewhere.
It's now on the list of things I'm waiting for a S16 overview on IO/IPC before tackling. (Sorry)
