Alas, Parrot wasn't up to snuff at the time, and the project languished. This wasn't cool, but neither was it unsurprising.
I think we're at the point where mod_parrot is feasible, so I'd like to find someone willing to pick up the project and get it going again. This should let us exercise the embedding interface with something a bit less stressful than ponie, and we'll get a chance to work out the API for setting up IO streams, which'll be nice.
This is a bit of a big'un, but when it works it'll be the basis for the parrot version of mod_[perl|python|ruby|tcl|Intercal|Forth] so if you've got a bit of time, well... fame and potential madness (or madness and potential fame, I could see it going either way) await.
