Oh, right, and... this is really, really evil. Which is why I just put it in. :)
And just to add extra evil, now it works. Seems that gcc does *not* align function pointers by default. (Though it does with -O2 or higher) Well... now it does, at least on linux.
I think we may need to add compiler-specific hints as well as platform-specific ones.
