I grabbed a snapshot of parrot tonight -- er..., Wednesday night PST -- and ran it through the basic test suite (make fulltest). I have uploaded it to my CPAN account and plan to announce it tomorrow (Thursday) unless someone comes up with any showstoppers.
Note that there *are* still tinderbox failures. I was hoping that these would all be cleared up before I released, but after a few months rolled by I decided to release it anyway. However, we're actually doing pretty well, all things considered -- this is the first release that has had to run the --gc-debug gauntlet, and I'll bet it makes it through much better than the previous releases! Congratulations to everyone who has contributed to Parrot so far. There were some major advances in this release. Parrot is getting dangerously close to actually being useful. I'll have more to say about that in the release announcement, or at least I hope I will by the time I write it up tomorrow. Thank you all! Steve
