So, let me see if I've got this straight. It's okay for you to be rude
to me, Dan and everyone else on this list. But it's not okay for me to
call you on that in a summary?

Yes, I'll admit that I overreacted in the initial version of the
summary that got posted to this list and accidentally left in the 'at
his patronizing best' jibe. But my proofreaders prevailed and it was
removed from the version that went up on perl.com (and which will go
up on dev.perl.org).

But I stand, firmly behind my assessment of Dan's response to your
"But if that's only as far as you can see..." post.

Your behaviour on this list has been crass and insulting to other
participants on several occasions and in past summaries I have bitten
my tongue. But last week you went too far, so I expressed an
opinion. I am terribly sorry if you thought you were being pilloried,
but if you want a summary devoid of my opinions you're going to have
to write your own.

The post of summarizer is not an 'official' post; it's a task that I
took on because I thought it was a shame that Bryan had stopped, and
because I thought it was a job worth doing. But I'm buggered if I'm
going to be dictated to by anyone about *how* I do it. If you don't
like the summaries, either stop reading, or write your own.
