Both with the sweepoff/collectoff and your patch I'm still seeing the behavior I described at the top of this thread. In fact, the behavior I'm seeing is getting *worse* with recent CVS updates. Eeeek! Nothing works. *panic* I'm off for the evening, but I'll try to come up with a small test case if there is such a beast.
