-- Long Road, by Pe{a}rl Jam Thanks, Simon. And take that long-deserved vacation. Well, this should be fun. I'm going to try to do my best at this, and not make too many mistakes along the way. Beyond my bio at perl.com <http://www.perl.com/pub/au/Goff_Jeffrey> I don't have too much to say about myself, other than I find myself with an abundance of free time, a project that needs managing, and being oolish enough to take the job up. As to the overall project targets, I'm going to try to keep working toward the overal timeline and try not to stumble too often on the way there. As to priorities, let's take a quick look at the original timeline (which I need to update soon). http://www.parrotcode.org/todo # says that we should have Unicode encoding and keyed aggregate support. Unicode was pushed off until at least 0.05, and keyed aggregates seem to be there. I'm speaking completely off the cuff here, but I'm tempted to dedicate the next release to Unicode support and documentation, if only because Unicode (given the experience I had trying to work up decent support) is a huge chunk of work. Other pieces of the puzzle can go in as need be, for instance I believe that symbol tables &c are being worked on at the moment as well For the sake of convenience, I can be contacted at the (potentially confusing) address <drforr at hargray.com>. I'm also on irc via irc.rhizomatic.net, nick of DrForr (hence the email address). Email here in the Deep South seems to be a little problematic at times, but so far I've had no problems.
