Just to be very clear:  That's how Perl5's Configure (generated by
metaconfig) works.  It is not necessarily how Perl6's configuration will
work, and it's not my call to make.

I think there are a lot of good ideas in metaconfig that might prove
profitable to carry forward into perl6, but generating a huge hairy v7-era
Unix shell script is not one of them.
