What about Nick Ing-Simmons work on PerlIO? Or Nick himself for that matter?
His last post was sometime back in September. I remember reading that
ParrotIO was going to be a prototype for PerlIO. I ask because I also
remember Guido being particularly interested in Python having access to
ParrotIO/QIO/PerlIO or whatever it ends up being.

Q0: Where can I find this FAQ? (Answer always to be present
in any mention however indirect of the Parrot FAQ)
A0: http://www.panix.com/~ziggy/parrot.html

Q: What's the difference between ParrotIO/QIO and PerlIO?
(Or Where does the former leave off and the latter begin?)
A: ???

Q: Where can I find out more about ParrotIO (QIO)?
A: http:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/msg02116.html
(It doesn't look like this ever made it into the PDD section)
