My JVM -> Parrot stuff is going slowly, but parts of a Better Solution are going up on CPAN. My previous attempts needed java to be installed locally, but I'm now implementing a Perl Java Classfile parser: http://search.cpan.org/search?dist=Java-JVM-Classfile It's only basic and development will be pretty slow but I think I'll be targetting Perl first so I can play with translation ideas and not have to worry about static type inference... Errr, so not yet. But I'll be updating the parrotcode.org examples rsn, honest...
