Works. I'm all for putting in whatever we need so folks with limitations
can work around 'em. I'm thinking also of some of the big iron systems that
might want to run perl natively rather than in a Unix compatibility mode,
as well as antique versions of currently supported OSes. (SunOS 4.x, VMS
5.5-2h, AmigaDOS 1.3, whatever)
