What if Perl 6 simply reserved tags for extensions? This could assume processing similar to Perl 5 for compatibility, but allow for custom extensions to be added (and shared). That way, the language experts can write the code the way it should be written, and the Perl 6 developers can focus on the core (and the hooks to support the extensibility). I'm sure that many of these sorts of issues will arise as time goes on, and I don't see the need for entire project to be stalled because of them. Grant M.
