Lightning flashed, thunder crashed and Dan Sugalski <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> whispered:
| or we can all darned well fake it at the very least.
Dan, Larry, and the rest of the members of perl6-internals:
I apologize for my behaviour the other evening. It was childish and served
no purpose on this list. From the very beginning of the bootstrap list, we
were told to brainstorm, to suggest anything and everything that we might
like to change about the language. One of the basic tenents was that we
were not supposed to prejudge any idea. We were to discuss them, mold
them, shape them, decide if they were worthwhile or not, then implement or
discard them.
I, and several others who are generally lurkers, decided to speak up and
make suggestions that we thought were reasonable and valid. I posted a
list to the -language group. Many people made useful comments about my
ideas, and suggested RFCing them. After I posted my first RFCs, I found
that a few people started to belittle not only my ideas but also my self,
as they had done with other contributors. Unfortunately, I decided to read
a large number of article in a short period of time, rather than a few
articles at a time, and reacted badly.
