I don't really understand why Perl 5.8.7 lacked DB_File since
Module::CoreList [1] reports it being standard sine 5.00307. Perhaps
this is some sort of emasculated version that ships with Solaris :-)

  DB_File  was first released with perl 5.00307

It looks like the user tried to install DB_File without having the
BerkeleyDB libraries from SleepyCat already installed.

I had no idea that it would be a problem to assume the availability of
a core Perl module...so thanks for your email. At any rate, I've toyed
with the idea of making the next version of MARC::Charset optionally
work entirely in memory...but haven't really pursued it since building
up the EastAsian character mappings say in a CGI script would be
pretty expensive...
