I don't really understand why Perl 5.8.7 lacked DB_File since Module::CoreList [1] reports it being standard sine 5.00307. Perhaps this is some sort of emasculated version that ships with Solaris :-)

I had no idea that it would be a problem to assume the availability of a core Perl module...so thanks for your email.
