Hello All, This is just a quick announcement to let you all know that two new modules have made their way to CPAN.
Firstly, Ed Summers and I have extracted the relevant bits from HTML::DublinCore and created re-useable Dublin Core objects in DublinCore::Record. DublinCore::Record itself is a container for a set of DublinCore::Element objects. Ed plans to update HTML::DublinCore to use these objects. I also have plans to formally create a MARC->DC crosswalk module. You can check it out on search.cpan.org: http://search.cpan.org/dist/DublinCore-Record/ Also, I've put out an initial implementation of NACO normalization. Text::Normalize::NACO is also available on search.cpan.org: http://search.cpan.org/dist/Text-Normalize-NACO/ As noted in the TODO section, I'm looking for a good test suite of items in order to verify that this normalization really works as per the spec. There's one mentioned on the OCLC FRBR page [1], but I can't seem to find the data itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, -Brian Cassidy [1] http://www.oclc.org/research/projects/frbr/algorithm.htm http://www.gordano.com - Messaging for educators.
