Just noticed that ParaTools [1], a citation parsing framework has been uploaded to CPAN as Biblio::Citation::Parser [2]. ParaTools is a side project from the folks who created Eprints at Southhampton University.
It's nice to see more library oriented modules making their way onto CPAN. More details below. //Ed [1] http://paracite.eprints.org/developers/ [2] http://search.cpan.org/~mjewell/Biblio-Citation-Parser-1.10/ ----- Forwarded message from Mike Jewell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ----- From: Mike Jewell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: [PT] ParaTools v1.10 Released Date: Mon, 6 Sep 2004 01:45:59 +0100 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] The latest update to ParaTools, version 1.10, has been released. This version has some major changes: - Module renaming: The ParaTools modules have been renamed to Biblio::Citation::Parser and Biblio::Document::Parser. This is to allow for the addition of ParaTools to CPAN, the Comprehensive Perl Archive Network. - Two new modules have been added - Biblio::Citation::Parser::Citebase and Biblio::Document::Parser::Brody. Both written by Tim Brody, the former provides functionality based on the Citebase citation parser, and the latter provides an accurate means of reference extraction from documents. - The ParaTools build process now uses Module::Build, a replacement for ExtUtils::MakeMaker that is written in pure Perl. This is a fairly new system, so may require that you install the Module::Build module. The automated CPAN installer does not yet support this, although CPANPLUS does, and the next version will include a fallback option. The Perl modules are available from CPAN or from the ParaTools downloads page: http://search.cpan.org/~mjewell/Biblio-Citation-Parser-1.10/ http://search.cpan.org/~mjewell/Biblio-Document-Parser-1.10/ or http://paracite.eprints.org/developers/downloads.html Mike Jewell [EMAIL PROTECTED]
