Jan,

You know, I seem to remember that it wasn't strict safe (from a long
time ago). Since you think it is, please accept my apologies (Because
you are the expert when it comes to Win32-OLE, and I just use it).

I was having issues with the script while I had the strict reference in
it, but maybe that was just me doing something wrong in my testing.
(P.S. my testing inaccuracies were confirmed today -- it works with "use
strict").

Notes to original poster... Can you use WBEMTEST.EXE to remotely run
your WQL query? That way we could determine if known-good WMI tools are
returning the same info that perl is. If that is the case (and the perl
results match WBEMTEST results), then Perl isn't doing anything wrong.

To test with WBEMTEST

run WBEMTEST.EXE from "Start->Run", click "Connect" and change the
namespace to \\computername\root\cimv2 .. then click "Connect".

It should ungrey the "Query" button... Click "Query" and enter your
query (select * from CIM_Product), and then press "Apply".

Wait until the words "Operation in Progress..." change to "Done".

Verify that the number of perl results match the number of WBEMTEST.EXE
results.

It's possible that WMI is having issues on the remote system and is only
bringing back that one record, or that there truly is only one WMI
record.

Either way, that should help you get closer to reason why perl is only
returning one record.

Sorry if I misdirected you with my comments earlier that proved false.
