I had been through with these packages . They dont inform about the state
of the processes that are running in the environment.
The states that are supported by the ps in *nix environment are (using the
s option of ps command):
D Uninterruptible sleep (usually IO)
R Running or runnable (on run queue)
S Interruptible sleep (waiting for an event to complete)
T Stopped, either by a job control signal or because it is being
traced.
W paging (not valid since the 2.6.xx kernel)
X dead (should never be seen)
Z Defunct ("zombie") process, terminated but not reaped by its parent.
Can we get this type of information using any of the packages with in perl
for the windows environment.
Thanks
-Ankit

For example Win32[API]::Toolhelp or Win32::Process[::*] should get you
going...there's probably also a way to query the performance registry
tree, but that's just masochistic.
And unless you're really interested in do-it-yourself and/or need the
information in your running
program, consider just picking up an existing tool, like 'pslist'
(formerly from Sysinternals, nowadays MS).
