First of all, thank you for all the help you have provided in the past,
especially Bill!

My situation: I have written an application that needs to access the
Crystal Reports (version 8.5) API to print documents based on parameters
issued by command line. One of my customer's customers wants to use a
collation function on their printer when printing multiple copies.
Unfortunately, I need to pass in some values through the API using some
DEVMODE settings. When I use Perl to modify the printer settings,
NOTHING happens at print time and the default settings in the Crystal
Report are always used to print.

I seem unable to use the specific method provided to send alternate
printer settings properly.

I have no experience with C++, nor DLL creation. But my client has C++
programmers on staff. I need to provide him with a set of documentation
for how to create a DLL that I can interface with my Perl app to handle
this situation. What I don't know is how to send to them the Object
reference for my current Crystal Report document so they can access the
Crystal API at a lower level than I can with Perl. Passing the rest of
the parameters back and forth should be simple enough, but this is
uncharted water for me. Any pointers? Websites? Tutorials I can read
would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Adam Frielink
