It is actually line 4 that is weird on my machine (I get an additional line that contains just the letter 'i'). Maybe this is a buffering issue. This only happens when I use Lucida Console as the font; when I use a raster font the problem goes away, which probably can be expected, as using the raster fonts turns off the Unicode support. I'm not that interested in what exactly is happening; from my point of view, using Unicode in a console window is not really supported. That it is working just a little bit seems more like an accident to me.
