I have used Net::Telent to log in a Windows and execute
Commands there.
There is a limitation on the things you can execute though.
They don’t allow you to execute the applications with UI.
To be exact, the applications are launched, but run in the background which is useless.
To get around this problem, I run an infinite loop perl script in the remote machine.
And ask the application to be run by writing to a file. The loop perl script will pick up the
File and launch the application.

Hi Perl gurus,
I am trying to write a Perl utility that is expected to do the following
1- Call windows telnet client utility (or any other external telnet client), and login into a remote telnet server
2- After the login into the remote server pass a set of commands to execute locally on the remote server
a. Start a loop after step 2
b. In this loop call another remote utility using telnet to a second remote machine (telnet <Remote machine 2> and run another EXE files locally on machine 2)
c. After the last exe file runs completely rerun the loop with different options passed to remote machine 1 using telnet.
Has any one done such a thing in Perl before? What's best way if Perl is not the right medium?
By the way, Can I make an exe file of the above function, once (if) written in Perl?
Is there a reason you must use an external Telnet client? Why not use Net::Telnet?
