MAX_PATH is just a constant whose value is defined in (I think) stdlib.h. If
you have either the MinGW or Visual Studio compiler you should be able to
determine its value by compiling and running the following C script:

#include <windows.h>
int main(void) {
    printf("%d\n", MAX_PATH);
    return 0;
}

For me that prints 260. I think it likely that the same value is appropriate
for you, too.

It's just the maximum allowable length of full pathname.

Cheers,
Rob
