You can have the script popup a Windows messaging message on ur computer. Of course depends on if you have that enabled and what the webserver is. Another possibility is to send an email to something like Yahoo messenger that instantly notifies u of new mail. If the webserver is also ur XP computer then u can just have the script itself open a Tk dialog with some message in it.
