Good Evening, I am an old dinosaur who has been re-t/p-rieved from 'retirement' by my grandsons to assist them in learning Perl and developing some programs/databases for school groups, volunteer groups et cetera.
This is also my first exposure to Microsoft's MDI model as well as to Win32::GUI here. I have spent the better part of this week in trying to get my head around the differences and/or similarities of Win32::GUI::Window verses Win32::GUI::MDIFrame...Client...Child. I have read all (I think) of Robert's, and others, documentation as well as a number of hours at the MS-MSDN Library researching MDI. My first, basic question: can I develop an application having multiple windows for varied data input using ...GUI::Window or must I use the MDI framework? I would be most appreciative of any suggestions, tidbits of knowledge that I've been unable to gather for myself, or pointers (can we use that word in polite company?) to any information. Thank you, and I look forward to our relationship(s). best regards, Thomas near the grandsons on the eastern seaboard of the US activeState Perl 5.8.8 build 819 Win32::GUI v1.05
