Just a single example of a working perl program that reads a bitmap and displays it in a label and a button, is all I need.
But I've been unable, even with help, to generate one.

Many thanks to Jim Kubicek for repeatedly debugging his code, which appears to work for him all the same. Just not for me. I'm wondering if some OS's work better than others?
