Hi all,

is it possible to determine the lgroup location of shared memory segments in
Solaris?

Let's assume I have two application servers running. Both create a lot of
shared memory segments and now I'm wondering if it is possible to determine the
location of the shared memory segments? My concerns are, that the performance
of a process running in another lgroup than the shared memory segments are
located, would be decreased when it tries to access the shared memory segments
remotely. During an intensive memory workload this could make a big difference,
couldn't it?

And if so: is there a way to find the location of a segment?

Regards
André
