I assume that the 'libast' you are referring to different than libast-0.7 from http://www.eterm.org/download/, which is the one that OpenSolaris SFE points to. It seems that there is an unfortunate confluence of library names. This is likely to cause problems.
Is there an easy way to get the AT&T Software Technology (AST) library downloaded and built to run on Solaris 10?
