As Drew pointed out, filebench is included in /usr/benchmarks already in OpenSolaris (and if its not, then you should be able to get it via IPS). I just downloaded the source, built it (following the directions found in the INSTALL file), and ran it successfully on OSX 10.5.5. Can you provide more details on what problems you had? As for Linux, one member of linux community gave us changes that supposedly built and ran filebench, but honestly i've never verified that. It would be *really* nice if someone took ownership of the Linux port. We seriously lack in that area. FileBench has a bright future - not only within Sun, but within the storage community.
