Hi friends, I tried to install Solaris jan 08 version on my Dell Inspiron 1501 in external hard disk with help of DVD I got. Initially every thing went well.But it took a lot of time to install .It almost took more than 8-9 hours!!( I think it should be less than 4 hrs right??)
But all in vain!!? After I got GRUB menu When I entered Solaris Express Developer edition option.I got a message related to "License..." and thats it... it stopped right there... and no progress and no checking of devices.. I waited for more than 10 min...no use... Before that I was able to install Solaris May 07 version successfully on my harddisk with the help of innotek virtual box.But I did not try this version on my external hard disk though. any body know the solution for this problem ...??
