I found Allan Packer's book "Configuring & Tuning Databases on the
SOLARIS Platform" to be quite useful for this. He has lots of useful
examples, and describes
the interactions between the Solaris kernel and most RDBMS systems. Keith (and
anyone that contributed material) did an awesome job with this book.
