It's actively being worked... the major problem is that
Opteron CPUs vary their TSC rate w/ frequency changes, and the
point at which the TSC changes rate isn't exactly
determanistic... so keeping the various CPU's notion of
time consistent across the machine is difficult.
Solaris relies on a fast, stable, scalable reasonably hi-res
source of time.
