The Norwegian maritime Directorate (NMD) has approved the on board training course on Crisis & Crowd Management(16 February, 2006)
The Crisis & Crowd Management on-board course, (CBT # 73 Crisis Management, CBT # 82 Crowd Management and procedure with workbook), covers the minimum mandatory training requirements for personnel on passenger ships and is based on the provisions of section A-V/2, V/3 and table A-V/2 of the STCW 95 code. The CBT tests and the six tasks from the workbook must be completed on board. We recommend that the training activity can be carried out as a workshop onboard the vessel, however, CBT tests and all tasks must be completed individually and be completed under an environment which can be monitored. The Crisis & Crowd Management on-board training is approved by the NMD and follows the model set by other successful Seagull onboard courses certified by classification societies and approved by major flag states such as Ship Security Officer, Onboard Assessor, ECDIS and Tanker Safety. A certificate of competence will be issued upon successful completion of the course. Other available on board courses: ECDIS, AIS, Ballast Water Management, Safety Officer, Crisis and Crowd Management, Assessor, Ship Security Officer.
