This question may have been answered in the past. I just got notice that there is a change coming on 12-1-2015 that the ip address for the H-root server will change. The new addresses are already operational. How does the pdns recursor handle such changes? Does it periodically check the root zones for changes? I know that with bind and windows dns (which is based on bind) I had to download the new authoritative zones.
PowerDNS refreshes the root NSset on startup and then every two hours. No need to worry!
