Folks, You may have read that I have a SMC Takumar 50mm f/1.4 (the very last screwmount version with the rubber grip) but with a damaged filter ring.
Does anyone have a both this and the earlier Super-Multi-Coated Takumar version (the one that goes yellow I think??)? If so could you take a look and see if the filter ring looks the same. In other words if I were to buy a hopefully cheap, yellowed S-M-C Tak, could I steal the filter ring and put it on my SMC Tak? Would it fit? Your expertise is desperately sought - this lens is too good not to use! Cheers, Chris
